Bubble tea, tea houses, Asian bakeries and dessert shops in this group are usually walk-in, counter-order businesses with a menu board overhead listing sweetness and ice levels you can adjust when ordering. Standard bubble tea customization includes sugar level (0-100%), ice level, and a choice of toppings like boba pearls, pudding or jelly, usually at a small extra charge. Asian bakeries sell items individually with tongs and a tray, cafeteria-style, rather than pre-boxed, and pastries are typically less sweet than Western bakery items. Lines build up quickly after school and in the evening, especially near colleges. Most of these businesses accept cards and mobile pay and skew younger in clientele and atmosphere.

The new Velvet Soy Matcha with Soy Top is absolutely divine! I was genuinely shocked by how delicious it was. The matcha is rich, bold, and incredibly smooth. The tofu pudding is so comforting, I feels like I'm eating a traditional Asian dessert. The soy foam on top is creamy with just the right amount of sweetness, and it takes the drink to another level. As for their tarts, I have no words to describe how amazing they are. Theyβre definitely expensive, but theyβre worth every penny. These cheese tarts will literally melt in your mouth. They also have fantastic matcha gelato, and my other favorite drink here is ube matcha. I just wish this Velvet Soy Matcha would become a permanent menu item because itβs that good. I would happily drink it every day (just in case one day they remove it from the menu)

Has a lot of seating so if you want to study then this is a decent cafe. The drinks are top tier. The quality of the matcha is really good and they have a lot of variety in drinks. The drinks arenβt too sweet but I usually order half sweet. The lychee matcha was pretty sweet tho. A little on the pricey side but Iβve seen more expensive. The matcha egg tarts are also good :D 100% coming here again

A good matcha latte with cold foam. Wanted to try the Hokkaido milk softy along with the latte. Both were pretty decent. I found other matchas (like Maikoβs) slightly better. But that could just be my preference. Overall a good spot for some match on Uni Ave.

Stopped by Maruwu Seicha to try something a little different π΅ I ordered the hot black sesame hojicha latte. It was a unique drink with a rich black sesame flavor. Personally, I would have preferred a stronger hojicha taste, but overall it was still good and interesting to try something different. There was a lineup when we arrived, but the ordering line moved quickly. The hot drinks took a bit longer to prepare, while the cold drinks seemed to come out faster. Iβd love to come back and try their ice cream next time. π¦

Famous matcha store at Palo Alto. I been here couple of times and everytime there is always busy and have line of customer but it move very quickly. Ordering system is straight forward and easy. This store has sitting area but it is considered loud if you are thinking of working while having your matcha as yhe store is not big and between table only hsve little space for walking.. Skme customer don't control their voice so it is kind of not pleasant. We ordered the matcha drink and they are good. They only serve all cold matcha. It is interesting when we want hot matcha we will end up going to coffee shop.
